China Sample Itineraries
Here is some sample itineraries for a trip to the Yangtze River Cruise
All the trips are able to be longer shorter, with meals, without meals, changed to meet your schedule, physical needs,food requirements, number of persons on the trip etc … very flexible.
The major 3 gorges sites are in-between Chongqing and Yichang

The below itineraries just cover the basics…, if you have, specific requirements, please fill out the China Travel Specialist trip form and I will customize a trip for you.
Minimum time to see the Gorges is 3 night 4 days
Day1 - Chongqing
Fly to Chongqing, a guide will meet you at Chongqing Airport, you all you have a city tour, have a nice local dinner thentransfer to the boat; stay on the boat.
Day2- Yangtze River Cruise
Shore excursion - 1400 / 1700 visit the Fengdu Ghost City, overnight on the boat
Day 3 –Yangtze River Cruise
Shore excursion - 1200 / 1700 visit the Shen Nong Stream, overnight on the boat
Day 4 – Yangtze River Cruise
Shore excursion- 0800 / 1000 visit the Three Gorges Dam arrive at Yichang
A guide will meet you at the Yichang Wharf, and you all will have a nice local lunch then be taken to Yichang Airport for your flight to your next destination or home.
The above trip can be carried out from Yichang to Chongqing also.
9 Day – Yangtze Cruise
A very interesting and not commonly done trip of the Yangtze is a 9 daytrip from Shanghai to Chongqing or from Chongqing to Shanghai
Below is the itinerary for the Shanghai – Chongqing trip.
Day 1 – Arrive at predetermine destination a transfer the boat at the Zhengjing
Day 2 – Nanjing - Half day shore excursion of Nanjing
Day 3 –At Guichi - Shore excursion to Huangshan mountain
Day 4 – At Wuhan - Shore excursion to Wuhan city
Day 5 – Sailing through Yangtze River
Day 6 – 07:00-Arrive Yichang and sail through the Gezhouba dam,
09:00-11:00 - Three Gorges Dam Project - Shore Excursion
12:00 - Passing Three Gorges Dam 5-stage Shiplocks
16:00-17:00 - Passing Xiling Gorge - West Part
Day 7 – 07:00- 08:00 - Passing Wu Gorge
09:00 - 12:30 - Lesser three gorges trip - Shore Excursion
14:40 - 15:10 - Passing Qutang Gorge
Day 8 – 08:00-10:00 - Shore excursion to Fengdu
Day 9 – 08:00-10:00 - Arrive Chongqing Port and disembark the cruise
Picked up by a guide when you arrive and taken to the airport for your flight to your next destination or home.
